Norwegian Caravan Club`s Camping of the year 2009 !
We are located beside the E39, on the south side of Byrkjelo centre.
Byrkjelo Camping is ideally situated for taking walks or bicycle-tours. Either in the valley, by the rivers and lakes, or in the mountains.
We have a kiosk, large play-ground for children, table-tennis, bicycles for rent, and trout fishing.
A heated swimming-pool (entrance fee) is located at the campsite.
Other outdoor activities in the magnificent landscape are also available.
Shops (the local Spar shop has its own popular bakery) a cafê and a petrol-station are all within walking distance( 100-300 m )
High standard sanitary facilities,(new building in 2009) kitchen with cooking facilities, and a laundry room with washing-machine (works with tokens) and tumble-dryer. The new
shower and toilet areas are compatible with physical handicap needs.
Toilet and waste-water station, also for campervans.
75 caravan/ campervan pitches with 10 A power points, with gravel or asfalt parking place.
- 4 large cabins with shower/ toilet, 2 bed-rooms and a loft-room. Suitable for 4-6 people.
- 4 smaller cabins, 1 room, with hot and cold water, kitchen corner. Suitable for 2-3 people.
- 2 small cabins of lower standard. Mini-kitchen. No water inside. Suitable for 2 people.
There are blankets and duvets in the cabins, exept in the 2 smallest.
